We (or Darko and the coaching staff) are also doing a lot of stupid things too though. HiJiNX wrote:The sad part is we’re trying to be good. Yeah, the defense has been tough but the lapses aren't drastically different from what I've seen in prior seasons. Their contributions are real anchors atm and I suspect upcoming adjustments. It's hard to speak on Scotties growth as it pertains to Darko because Scottie usage has been so sporadic until this season. He's becoming more and more effective playing within the offense. Pascal is operating in areas of strength rather than over-dribbling. He made a nifty semi-skip pass to the opposite wing tonight that is so irregular on this squad. He's making some excellent passes on his attacks that correctly identify the advantage. He looks like he's finally growing into the NBA game. I think I'm seeing increased force and decisiveness but I need to look. I plan to look at some tape to pinpoint differences in his takes. Nurse did a lot of crazy defensive schemes but he taught them and made the players focus on the defensive side (according to his crazy collapse in the middle, left open corner 3's) That's all I want to see, the move towards better and more complete basketball.Ĭan you show me some examples of the honing skills?įrom the video I post above about the lack of team defense, it seems that the Darko's group of coaches don't teach anything about team defense. Of course, you can find points to criticize but I'm seeing development and better process. What I'm seeing right now is a team that is honing skills, making adjustments, and attempting to place players in positions of strength. Attention and focus was solely on exploiting statistical advantages.
